R. (Bob) W. Caswell came to Saskatoon in 1882 and homesteaded just south of the settlement. In 1883 he purchased In 1885 Wallace Caswell was born on the homestead. In 1904 he started as a telegrapher for the C.P.R.
In 1911, Lewis W. Berry, a clerk at the Hub Clothing Store, entered into a partnership with Wallace Caswell and they purchased the MacMillan & Michner clothing store. In 1913 Caswell became the sole owner so the tokens must have been issued in that short period. The store is still in operation but no one remembers the tokens.

Friesen sold the bakery to A. Reid and P. Fullbrook in July of 1909. It is possible that the tokens had the holes added after the sale to show they had been issued by the new owners?

- A second example has been found with the reverse rotated 180 degrees. It is currently unknown if it will be considered a variety or just a simple rotated die.

This token was issued in 1968, issue 2,000. A token was given for each 8 gallons of gas purchased and was good at their car wash, 'a do-it-yourself' next door. In 1971 more tokens were ordered and this time the CO-OP was much larger than the first token, issue 2,000. All tokens were discontinued in 1972 at which time many were thrown away.
