Thomas Leech, a dairyman in the Old Country, started a dairy in Regina in 1905 and started delivering milk in the spring of 1906. At this time milk was delivered in bulk and measured at the door. In 1908, Leech brought in quart bottles and started delivering the milk already bottled, the first to do this in the area. Tokens were issued about this time and it is believed that a pint token was also used. Thomas Leech sold the dairy in 1928.

(Good For 10¢ When Returned With Bottle)

In 1912, D. G. and F. L. MacKay, general store operators in Indian Head, purchased a section of land close to town and in 1914 started the MacKay Farm Dairy. As they produced more milk than was needed in that area, they opened a branch in Regina at 2222 - 11th Avenue with R. J. Brown as manager in 1916. The venture was not as profitable as expected so the outlet was closed in the fall of 1918.

In 1993 Great Western Breweries entered into a 3 year partnership with the Saskatchewan Roughriders to supply beer at Taylor Field for all home games. A year later Great Western announced that due to financial difficulties they had to pull out of the partnership deal with the football club. All indications are that this is a beer token used at the football games at Taylor field for the 1993 season only.
