Bridge Tokens (BT-1 thru BT-18)
These Bridge tokens were issued to be used to pay the fare required to travel across the three main bridges which connected the Island of Montreal to two adjacent areas (Lachesnaye and Repentigny).
They were issued in early 1808, but were not used for very long because all three bridges were swept away by ice in the spring of 1808.

The first group of tokens (BT-1 thru BT-8) were used for travel from Lachesnaye to either the Island of Montreal OR to Repentigny, as shown in this map.
