William Leisen purchased the general store from C. Courtois in 1909. He was also the agent for the telephone toll office from 1910 to 1917. In 1929 the building was in such poor condition that he decided to build a new store, which he did but he never moved in, he sold it to A. Battel and quit business.

Chmelnitsky & Powlotsky (all the directories list the name as Pow not Pov, and an old timer thought that it was Pow) purchased the general store of Hope and Tetlock in 1908. In 1915 Mike Powlotsky bought out his partner and operated the business until 1927.

In 1913 he disposed of the store in Buchanan to three farmers who named the store, The Supply Company. Due to conflict of interest between the owners the store was sold in 1919.

Jack Wise and his father-in-law, George Spray bought the business from Thornton Gamey in December, 1923 and rented the building from him. Sold out in April 1926 to J. M. Schacter. It is thought that all tokens on hand were destroyed at this time.
